Samoa Reopening to the World

Samoa is reopening her borders to the world on 1 August 2022.

For the past 2½ years, Samoa’s border has been closed under State of Emergency declarations. Travel has been restricted to Samoan citizens and permit holders registered to travel on weekly or monthly flights. With high COVID-19 vaccination rates, Samoa is now ready to reduce restrictions.

From August, travel to Samoa is permitted for all international travellers who are fully vaccinated against COVID and who provide a negative COVID test result within 48 hours of departure. Frequent flights are being reinstated from NZ, Australia and Fiji.
